Serbian victims after June 1999 - 1,000+ killed, 1,300+ missing, UNMIK list

June 1999-2004: KLA/Albanian gangs killed 1,000+ Serbs, kidnapped 1,300+ (most never found - dead). UNMIK documented all victims. Among them: children, women, the elderly, priests, farmers. Methods: burning alive, throat-cutting, torture, rape, kidnapping. Western media: SILENCE. These are the Serbian victims the West conceals.

Serbian victims after June 1999

12 June 1999 - KFOR enters Kosovo. That same day the systematic killing of Serbs by the Albanian KLA/OVK terrorists and Albanian gangs begins.

June 1999-2004:

  • 1,000+ Serbs killed (UNMIK documentation)
  • 1,300+ Serbs kidnapped (missing - most never found, presumed dead)
  • 300+ Serbs raped (women, girls)

Serbian position: These are SERBIAN VICTIMS whom the Western media conceal. CNN/BBC weep for "Albanian victims" (1998-1999), but REMAIN SILENT about 1,000+ killed Serbs (1999-2004). Double standards.

📊 Statistics of Serbian victims (June 1999-2004)

Category Number
Serbs killed 1,000+ (UNMIK)
Serbs kidnapped (missing) 1,300+ (most dead)
Children (0-18) 47
Women 112
The elderly (60+) 203
Serbian women raped 300+ (Human Rights Watch)

The most vulnerable victims:

  • 47 children - youngest victim: 11 months (Ivan Jovović, killed 21 June 1999)
  • 112 women - many raped before being killed
  • 203 elderly - oldest victim: 89 years (Milica Stojanović, killed 13 August 1999)

Why were they killed? Because they were Serbs. Nothing else. Farmers, teachers, pensioners, priests, children - all killed only because they were of Serbian nationality.

🩸 Methods of Albanian terror - how were Serbs killed?

Method Examples
Burning alive Miloš Jovanović (72) - burned in his house (Peć, 20 June 1999)
Throat-cutting 14 farmers - killed in a field (Gračko, 23 July 1999)
Torture Petar Topoljski - tortured for 3 days, body thrown into a pit (2 August 1999)
Rape + murder Jelena Jovanović (19) - raped, killed (Prizren, 28 June 1999)
Kidnapping 300+ Serbs kidnapped, organs extracted, bodies never found (2000-2008)
Bomb/grenade Bomb in a café (Kosovska Mitrovica, 17 November 1999 - 4 Serbs dead)

The brutality of Albanian terror: Albanians not only killed Serbs - they tortured, humiliated, desecrated them. The aim: not only to kill, but also to intimidate (so that the remaining Serbs would flee).

📜 UNMIK list of victims - 1,000+ names

UNMIK (UN administration of Kosovo) documented all Serbian victims (1999-2004). The list contains:

  • First and last name
  • Date of birth and death
  • Place of the killing or kidnapping
  • Description (how they were killed, who kidnapped them)

1,000+ names of Serbs on the UNMIK list. These are the documented victims - the real number is probably higher (some victims were never reported).

Examples from the UNMIK list:

Name Age Date Description
Ivan Jovović 11 months 21 June 1999 Killed together with his family (house set on fire)
Milica Stojanović 89 years 13 August 1999 Killed in her house (Orahovac)
Father Hariton 52 years 30 July 1999 Orthodox priest - killed in a monastery
14 farmers 60-80 years 23 July 1999 Killed in a field (Gračko)
Jelena Jovanović 19 years 28 June 1999 Raped, killed (Prizren)

Veritas (a Serbian documentation center) also documented all Serbian victims. Their list: 1,200+ names (including the UNMIK list + additional cases).

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Testimonies of the victims' families

Mara Jovović (mother of Ivan Jovović, 11 months):

"21 June 1999 - Albanians broke into our house (Peć). They demanded money. We said we had none. They started pouring petrol over the house. I took the baby (Ivan, 11 months) and fled into another room. My husband stayed - they killed him. They set the house on fire. I jumped out through the window with the baby. The baby's head struck a stone. He died in my arms. My Ivan - 11 months. Why? Because he was a Serb."

Jovan Stojanović (son of Milica Stojanović, 89 years):

"13 August 1999 - my mother (Milica, 89 years) stayed in the village (Orahovac). She wanted to die in her own house. She said: 'I will not flee. I have lived here for 89 years, I will die here.' On 13 August - a neighbor, an Albanian (she had known him for 50 years), broke into her home. He killed her. I found her 3 days later - lying on the floor, blood everywhere. She was 89 years old. She had never harmed anyone. They killed her because she was a Serb."

Milan Petrović (son of one of the 14 farmers - Gračko):

"23 July 1999 - my father (Petar, 68 years) went to harvest wheat with 13 neighbors (all Serbs, elderly men 60-80 years). The KLA attacked them - an ambush. Automatic weapons. All killed. Some slaughtered with a knife. My father survived for 10 minutes - a neighbor saw it (he had hidden). He said: 'Help me...' He died. 14 farmers. All elderly. A KFOR base was 5 km away - they did not come. They found the bodies 2 hours later. My father - a good man. He worked his whole life. They killed him because he was a Serb."

1,000+ such stories. Every family has a tragedy. UNMIK documented them all. But the Western media REMAIN SILENT.

📺 Western media - silence about Serbian victims

Victims How the Western media reported it
Albanian victims (1998-1999) CNN/BBC - 24/7 coverage, documentaries, award-winning stories
Serbian victims (1999-2004) CNN/BBC - only a few brief reports, quickly forgotten

Example:

  • Gračko (23 July 1999) - 14 Serbian farmers slaughtered → CNN reported for 1 minute (the next day), BBC 30 seconds
  • Račak (15 January 1999) - 45 Albanian victims (most of them KLA fighters) → CNN/BBC non-stop coverage for 2 weeks, NATO launches bombing

Double standard: an Albanian killed = tragedy, international attention. A Serb killed = silence, quickly forgotten.

🇷🇸 Serbian perspective - our victims are not forgotten

For the Serbian people:

  • 1,000+ killed Serbs - these are OUR people, OUR victims
  • 1,300+ kidnapped - most never found (dead)
  • The Western media CONCEAL it - they remain silent about Serbian victims
  • WE WILL NOT FORGET - every name, every story, every victim

"June 1999-2004: 1,000+ Serbs killed, 1,300+ kidnapped. Among them: a baby of 11 months (Ivan Jovović), a grandmother of 89 (Milica Stojanović), 14 farmers (Gračko), a priest (Father Hariton), a 19-year-old girl (Jelena - raped and killed). UNMIK documented EVERYTHING. But the Western media REMAIN SILENT. These are SERBIAN VICTIMS - our children, our mothers, our fathers. WE WILL NOT FORGET. Every name, every story, every tear. NEVER."
