On 19 May 1999, NATO bombed Aleksinac for the FOURTH time, a small town that had already been heavily hit.

Aleksinac was one of the most frequently bombed towns in Serbia:
- 27 March - first attack (5 victims)
- April - second attack
- May - third attack
- 19 May - fourth attack (8 victims)

- Milica Jovanović (67 years old)
- Dragan Petrović (55 years old)
- Gordana Nikolić (48 years old)
- Slobodan Marković (62 years old)
- Vera Đorđević (59 years old)
- Goran Simić (36 years old)
- Dragica Pavlović (71 years old)
- Nebojša Stanković (42 years old)
Abandoned town
Of the pre-war 18,000 residents, fewer than 3,000 remained in Aleksinac. The town was practically abandoned.
