An imposing monument to the heroic battle of the Workers' Battalion near Užice.
The Kadinjača Memorial was erected on the site where a heroic battle took place on 29 November 1941.
The battle
The Workers' Battalion defended a mountain pass near Užice against superior German forces. The fighters fought to the last bullet.
The monument
Monumental bronze figures depict the fighters in their final defence. The work of the sculptor Miodrag Živković, it was installed in 1979.
The complex
Beside the monument there are also a museum, the burial ground of the fallen fighters and the Park of Heroes.
