The village of Veljun in Kordun was the site of one of the most brutal Ustaša crimes.
The massacre
On 30 July 1941, the Ustaša attacked the village and slaughtered more than 300 civilians.
Methods
People were slaughtered and thrown into pits, and houses were set on fire with families inside.
