Between 1939 and 1942, a group of Jewish refugees who were trying to flee Europe was in Kladovo.
The Kladovo Transport
About 1,000 Jewish refugees were stranded in Kladovo. Most were later deported and killed.
Memorial
A memorial plaque dedicated to the victims was installed.
