The Banjica camp was a German concentration camp in Belgrade from 1941 to 1944.

Conditions

Prisoners were tortured and starved, and then sent to be shot at Jajinci or other execution sites.

Number of Victims

More than 23,000 people passed through the camp, most of whom perished.

Memorial

Today a memorial museum stands on the site of the camp.
